Visual and print journalist, drone pilot, lover of movement, sunlight, and night skies. Eldest of four, devoted cat mom, and aunt to one extraordinary little human.
Pittsburgh is home, but I’m often elsewhere. The stories I pursue focus on health, community, justice, conflict, displacement, and the lived experience of systems under strain.
At the core is inquiry—how individual experiences speak to broader, shared truths. I’m drawn to intensity in all its forms and at ease with the raw, uncomfortable, and chaotic.
My work is rooted in intention, time, and trust—an ongoing effort to understand what it means to be here, together.
In 2015, I made a hard left to pursue journalism. It was terrifying, necessary, and the most formative decision I’ve made. Since then, I’ve worked across continents and communities, guided by intuition, the generosity of others, and just the right amount of grit.
I find joy in being with people—on a rooftop in Mosul, in a childhood bedroom in suburban New York, remote villages in South Sudan, or a hospice room in Pittsburgh.
